While maintaining the community's small town charm, the Pinckney Lakeland Hamburg Hell areas have welcomed new businesses, which allow local residents to dine and shop in their own community. Recent updates to many of the community buildings, an updated streetscape in Pinckney, and the addition of several unique restaurants and stores attract people from all over the county.
Residents love to gather as a community and local business owners are leading the way by offering a variety of festivals and special events. Art in the Park features more than 100 craftsmen offering their original artwork along with free entertainment. During Hamburg's Railroad Days, visitors can ride a train and enjoy a look into Hamburg's past. Festivals are also held to celebrate the Fourth of July, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween and more. Free movies, concerts and classic car shows are offered throughout the summer in Pinckney's Village Square.
The Pinckney Recreation Area offers campgrounds, hiking, cross country skiing, horseback riding, snowmobiling, mountain biking, swimming, boating and fishing.
The Lakelands Trail State Park offers even more recreational opportunities. The lakes and rivers in the area, along with Pinckney Community Pool, offer unlimited fun in the water. Adult and youth recreational sport clubs are available.
